This Mitzvah Day, families and friends can make a difference together.

  • Purchase Mitzvah Day t-shirts here.
  • Tzedakah proceeds will be donated to the Israel Guide Dog Center.
  • Bring non-perishable Kosher for Passover and/or Chometz food donations for the City Harvest Passover Food Drive

Schedule for Sunday, March 31

9:00 – 9:30 a.m. Coffee and bagels
9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Special programs for Religious School, ToFHY, and adults
9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Blood drive – sign up here to reserve your spot
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Speaker: Julie Schwiertert-Collazo, Immigrant Families Together
11:00 – 11:45 a.m. Speaker: Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi
12:00 – 1:15 p.m. Lunch
1:00 – 3:00 p.m. On-site at RTFH: Prepare care packages for the military and homeless college students,
create art, heart pillows & quilts for those in need, assemble hygiene products for girls,
revitalize the Synagogue

Off-site: Sing at Forest View and Fairview Nursing Homes, bake at the Ronald McDonald House,
create crafts at Briarwood Residence, visit Atria Assisted Living

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Concluding reflections on the day with music
