Shalach Manot – Sponsored by Women’s Connection

The mitzvah of Shalach Manot is sending gifts of food to one another especially during Purim. Some say this is to counteract the accusations of Haman that the Jewish people are “a scattered and divided nation.” The Jewish people send gifts to each other to show that we are a united people striving for peace, harmony, and friendship. Now, more than ever, we need to stand together, in peace, support and love.

In the spirit of Purim, Women’s Connection invites you to donate in an amount that is comfortable for you. This year, half of your donation will go to the Commonpoint Queens food pantry, which supports local families in need. The other half will go to the RTFH Torah Restoration Fund, to ensure that our beautiful Torahs are kept in pristine condition to be used for Shabbat and holiday services and other simchas.
