Task Force on Immigrants and Refugees

Working through Immigrant Families Together, a very successful nine-week old, grassroots Queens-based organization, we have been invited to support a newly reunited family from Guatemala.

The family is presently housed in a living room in Jamaica, Queens. Immigrant Families Together raised a small sum of money through GoFundMe and the husband has work, so there is some income. They have a 15-year old daughter who resides with them and a nephew who was recently released from a Texas facility The family does not speak English and needs assistance in many areas, primarily food, housing, clothing, and more.

For now, we would like to focus on food.
